Dear
visitor:
You’ve got to take off that label branding you a TOURIST immediately!
To us, you’re just another neighbour, and during your stay we’re going treat you as such. This means, in addition to asking for salt when we run out and making small talk in the lift, we expect basic rules of coexistence to be respected.
In Seville we take pride in our city, we love to share it with others, and we expect those who visit us to offer that same love in return.
Dear visitor:
You’re in
Seville,
this is your
home too
Your accommodations just as much as the rest of the city make up that home, so during your stay, make sure to take care of them both.
Dear visitor:
At night
ssshhhh...
We all love to have a good time, but we also need to rest. Be careful with noise, especially at night.
Dear visitor:
If it’s not
a pretty
picture,
better not
do it
Never do anything in the street you wouldn’t on the floor of your own home. If you need to go to the toilet, use the toilet. Otherwise the police will react and you’ll be fined.
Dear visitor:
A picnic in
the park
is a
great plan.
If you feel like eating under the sky in our parks, remember to clean up what’s left afterward.
Dear visitor:
Here
the best
clothes
dryer
is called
the rooftop.
Don’t use the balcony to dry clothes, it’s unsightly. In Seville we usually hang them on the roof. If your building doesn’t have one, ask your host for a drying rack
Dear visitor:
If you see a
crossed-out
cigarette,
it’s not time
to light one.
Remember that smoking is banned in some places. If you see a sign with a crossed-out cigarette, find another spot. Cigarette butts are best left in rubbish bins (well extinguished!).
Dear visitor:
Take out
your rubbish
with style
and poise.
Take out your rubbish at night using the correct bins. If in doubt, ask your neighbours.
Dear visitor:
Park well
so that
you’re well
as well!
Inform yourself on rules and suitable parking spaces near your accommodations. That way the local tow truck won’t “park” it for you somewhere else.
Dear visitor:
Soak
yourself
in the real
Seville.
Your neighbourhood is sure to be full of stories, shops owned during lifetimes and thousands of anecdotes to discover. Ask questions, do your research, get advice… we love to be visited.
Dear visitor:
To teach
is to love.
If you come with your children, teaching them to respect the city and learn about the places you visit will turn yours into a genuine travelling family.
Dear visitor:
We are
so looking
forward to
meeting you!
Seville welcomes you with open arms. Looking after the city and respecting the rules is a nice way to return that warm embrace.
